Listening to you talk about the Jupiter-Saturn square reminds me of something I’ve been meditating on in my own astrological practice: asking the question, why did Hellenic-period astrologers place Jupiter and Saturn in the same sect? What does that say about the nature of their relationship (in the most broad sense/independent of where they’re placed zodiacally)? Because if we know that planets in the same sect get along, or are on the same team so to speak, I can’t help but think that ancient astrologers of this tradition were communicating some greater wisdom about the ways Jupiter and Saturn relate, and how they balance and complement each other. Different from the dynamic between planets whose signs are opposition (altho obvi Mars + Venus are interesting for this reason since they’re of the same sect). Idk. But I say this because every time I listen to you, more and more seems to click in place for me about how Jupiter and Saturn might complement each other. Or help each other. As a baby astrologer, I saw them at odds, but hearing from teachers/mentors like you has helped me better connect to the essence of these planets. I see them as ‘beings,’ so I can’t thank you enough for gifting us the ability that relate to every planet in a profound way. Cheers!

Def feeling these themes- for me with my Gemini Moon, restraint is a challenge. Also reading “Sharp Objects” which is a psychological thriller that centers around a family & disturbing heritage getting uncovered- written by Pisces author Gillian Flynn (also wrote Gone Girl).

Ooohhhh this explains things!! These two lovely planets are current in exact aspect (conjunct for Mercury and trine for Saturn) to and #grabbed my Mars in Cancer. At the start of the cycle I began putting in plans, actions and long term commitments towards my physical and mental health, education and career change. I informed my boss of the hours and days I can work and days I have off. Despite this, at the start of this cycle, I had to remind my boss of my limited hours, that I cannot come in on days off or extend my short days. Yesterday and today my boss added a new client to my schedule, wants to add a second, and wants to remove my long standing clients. I had to, again, enforce my work boundaries and sent an email to all office members of my working days, times available, days off, and a request to not remove my current clients. I was pretty proud of myself for that! Because I have a history of saying, "sure let's do that!" and disregard myself for work.

Hi Adam, I really love your take on the Saturn/Jupiter cycles they are my fav but I really think you nailed this transit. As soon as the sun entered cancer my 7th house of relationships I had made a connection with someone who I was struggling to establish boundaries with, as the moon entered Pisces co-present with Saturn (sign based trine with mercury in cancer) we had a big talk on communication and how the way we had been speaking to each other was bringing up past wounds, it was a difficult conversation having to unpack some things and enter into a space of vulnerability, but the trine aspect made it feel like a necessary but helpful process. With Saturn in a superior position trining by aspect it is like he throws us challenges and says you won’t like what I’m giving you but you will thank me later.

Thank you, it is super useful. I’ve been through mental stress all this period. This led me to revisit my lineage through hypnosis. It was super interesting. I feel that this work has liberated some patterns, although it is not clear yet in which direction I will go next.

Well, if you put it in a larger context.. reviewing the geometry section in courses and had to tap the breaks as this section will have important pieces related to sidereal and tropical. Other things, but that’s a big one personally. Since I’ve probably mentioned it in a comment and it’s minor, the geometry of as above, so below is the Star of David but there’s 2. Same, just interpenetrate differently. One deals more with the geometric processes of as above, so below. Slowing down to look closely at a contextual framework along with the mechanism 2 different astrological measurements may interact. An interesting way it matters, I want to research it much further but I also need more context to understand it; I’ll use my chart since I have it memorized and try to keep it simple (this can get confusing). You have to drop the 3 outer and modern rulerships.. In traditional tropical Hellenistic natal Venus mars conjunction in libra is in the 2nd but with the power of the ascendant by technique. In modern with quadrants, they are in libra in the 1st with 1st in virgo. In sidereal they are in the 1st in Virgo. If you use modern astrology (quadrants, still drop outer 3 and rulerships) in tropical the rulerships are almost identical to sidereal. The only notable difference is in tropical moon is in the 5th in Capricorn instead of 5th in Aquarius as opposed to 6th Aquarius in traditional tropical whole sign. But it ends up a minor alternative. In this system, tropical is an “as below” chart related to the geographic location of the zodiac on the earth, not the location in the heavens. It’s just a theory not tested a lot, but each system may have accuracy in a specific way related to certain things where modern quadrants may be a synthesis of the two. But you’d expect wider and wider use of quadrants as the earth zodiac and the cosmic zodiac move further out of alignment. It gets into the manvantara’s, interlinking of 7 above and 7 below.

In recovery I've learned that obsessing over the past, "morbid reflection," deals so much with regret... and obsessing over the future, "future tripping," is often perpetuating the past... and is anxiety provoking because it's going against the potential of the now.

I love your videos so much and appreciate the discussion on squares to the nodes. I have both Venus and Mercury closely squaring my nodes on my natal chart. The current Venus square to the nodes is perfecting at the very end of my profection year with Venus as my time lord before my birthday tomorrow. Not to mention the Venus cazimi earlier this month was at the exact degree of my natal Venus, which again, was squaring my nodes lol! 😅😂 I am watching her closely lol. And I could relate to all five points mentioned!

I don't know. I was born with Jupiter retro in Cancer in the 2nd. I have a huge problem with Cancer energy. I find it super sticky, muddy, stifling, etc. I'm also a Cap moon. Like I said, I don't know. I find today's hyperfocus on feelings and ancestry and healing regressive and dangerously infantile, especially considering the current forward-moving collective energies. So I agree with you. Trauma happens as soon as we are born. It's the beginning and the end of this earthly experience. Trauma, however, doesn't need to be drama.

The most profound experience of healing I have ever achieved is studying the astrological charts of my family members who left me family-less and a ward of the state at age 8 to age 18. This didn't occur until I discovered astrology at age in 1989, when I returned to university and discovered astrology books both in the current events sector in the university library and in the bookstore of the university! My father being a Sagittarius, was a traveling musician, one of the most difficult professions with its well know problems of drugs and alcohol on top of being on the road to the next gig. This was my first lesson of what not to be, simply due to the great, great challenges. Thus, I was placed in foster homes. I am fortunate enough to be a second house Aquarian (Saturnian self-disciplines). Though married at 18, I went through university, an accounting career, astrological career, 59-years of marriage so today. Hence, I encourage each of your followers to really come to understand the astrology of their family members which have wounded them, and come to a higher spiritual grasp of over-coming through a greater and higher spiritual understanding of the difficulties each of those individuals have had to face!!! I am grateful that I did not have to go to any kind of psychological counseling and the deep financial pit of that road. I simply kept asking, seeking, and knocking in spiritual terms through the study of various spiritual traditions and their solutions, but astrology hit the target!~!!

I got alot out of this video. 😅 Had a "father" issue come up with the Cap full moon. It was deep and almost totally buried, so i was suprized, and still having wabes of feelings. ( I was so happy, on the one hand, the issue was there, and came up, like u know something is wrong, knawing at u, that u don't expect waves of pain.) but with merc and venus in Cancer and mine both in sag., and my moon and uranus in Cancer, i was open to any learning since emotions are a theme of this life time, and dealing with it all spiritually.
